Your choices are a turkey BLT wrap with chips, cookie and tea or water or a vegetarian Greek salad with hummus, pita chips, a cookie and tea or water. You may also bring your lunch if you prefer.

Members should have received information on business items a few weeks ago. Here is a link to that information if you did not receive it or need to review it. Only members will vote on business items.

Everyone is welcome, so bring a friend.  The registration link will allow you to register and order lunch.  If you choose to order lunch, it will take you to PayPal where you can use your PayPal account to pay OR you can use a debit or credit card to check out as a guest.    NOTE:  You will get two confirmation emails.  One for registering and another when you pay.  If you use PayPal to pay, you will get a third confirmation from them.

Per library rules, we cannot accept money at the meeting so please email lwvgreenvilleco@gmail.com if you can’t use the payment option we have set up.

On April 17 the League of Women Voters took a stand unprecedented in its 105-year history — it declared that the United States was in a constitutional crisis.

How does the LWV define a constitutional crisis? It is when the executive, legislative, or judicial branches cannot or will not adequately protect the Constitution, when there are attempts to dismantle democracy by any of the branches of the government, or when any level of the federal government takes actions to destroy democratic institutions in a way that purposefully jeopardizes the Constitution.

Professor Cosby earned her J.D. at Howard University and specializes in constitutional law and racial and ethnic politics. She will discuss how the Constitution is designed to protect democracy and help us understand much of what is happening now.
